Heavy Equipment School
The Heavy Equipment School, also known as HES is for everyone who wants to become a qualified operator or technician. The Heavy Equipment School is especially an outcome for individuals who seek a career in heavy equipment branch. Heavy equipment dealers who want to know more about their equipment and safety issues are also welcome to join and participate in our school.
The goal of the HES program is to educate and provide the local and regional market with skilled and qualified operators and technicians.
HES courses are offered in Machine Systems, Operation of Heavy Equipment and are developed and presented according to our Competency Based Method.
The Heavy Equipment School curriculum is very intensive and consists of a technician and an operators program. The students will spend approximately 75% of their time on practical work and 25 % pursuing relevant occupational theory. Students will receive the written test results after each course.
A graduate from this program will demonstrate competence in a wide variety of skills and knowledge related to the Mechanical - and Operating Machine Systems.
On successful completion of the course, students will be awarded our CHEEC Heavy Equipment School Diploma.
The qualification is valid for 2 (two) years and the operator or technician needs to follow a refreshment course to keep his knowledge up to date.
