Operator Course

The career path for operator students consists of 3 levels:


Level 1 - Mobile Equipment Fundamentals & Safety (MEFS)

Goal: This course covers Safety topics e.g. PPE, Job Safety Analysis, terms, mobile equipments systems, inspections and efficiency.
Duration: 3 days (24 hours), included theory and practice
Location: Classroom & On site
Evaluation: De module is completed with a theoretical test. If the module is completed with success the student receive the written test results. When failing the student makes a retake.

Level 2 - Mobile Equipment Operating

Goal: Depending on chosen machine type , students are introduced to the operation of the machine: Main components, Pre-inspection, Operator controls, Pre-inspection, Cool-down and Shut-down procedures.
Duration: 5 days (24 hours), included theory and practice
Location: Classroom & On site
Evaluation: De module is completed with a theory and practical test. If the module is completed with success the student receive the written test results. When failing the student makes a retake or gets more practice hours depending on his/ her learning progress.

Level 3 - Mobile Equipment Operator Advanced

Goal: Internship in a heavy equipment company
Duration: 3-4 weeks (40 hours in the seat)
Location: Registered company where heavy equipment is used
Evaluation: During the internship the student will be pre-screened by a CHEEC instructor (pre screening), if the outcome is positive the student will be screened and qualified by an external examination committee together with his/her mentor at the end of the internship. Completing this with success the has to write an internship report. For successfully completing Level 3 the student receives the Heavy Equipment School diploma.
