Technician Course

The career path for technician students consists of 3 levels:


Mobile Equipment Fundamentals & Safety (MEFS)

Goal: This course covers Safety topics e.g. PPE, Job Safety Analysis, terms, Mobile equipments topics e.g. systems, inspection, efficiency.
Duration: 3 days (24 hours), included theory and practice
Location: Classroom & On site
Evaluation: De module is completed with a test. If the module is completed with success the student receive the written test results. When failed the student makes a retake.

Level 1 - Basic Equipment systems

Goal: This course covers:Basic Electronics Objectives,Basic Hydraulics Objectives, Basic Engine Objectives and Basic Drive Train Objectives that are found on almost every machine.
Duration: 5 days (40 hours) per module, included theory and practice
Location: Classroom & On site
Evaluation: De module is completed with a theory and practice test. If the module is completed with success the student receive the written test results. When failed the student makes a retake.

Level 2 - Intermediate Equipment Systems

Goal: This course covers heavy equipment:

  • Engine systems diagnosis and advanced troubleshooting using special tools
  • Electrical systems diagnosis and advanced troubleshooting using special tools
  • Power train systems diagnosis and advanced troubleshooting using special tools
  • Hydraulic systems diagnosis and advanced troubleshooting using special tools

Duration: 5 days (40 hours) per module, included theory and practice
Location: Classroom & On site
Evaluation: De module is completed with a theory and practice test. If the module is completed with success the student receive the written test results. When failed the student makes a retake.

Level 3- Advanced Equipment Systems

Goal: This course covers heavy equipment:

  • Engine systems diagnosis and advanced troubleshooting using special tools
  • Electrical systems diagnosis and advanced troubleshooting using special tools
  • Power train systems diagnosis and advanced troubleshooting using special tools
  • Hydraulic systems diagnosis and advanced troubleshooting using special tools
Internship in Company where Heavy Equipment is used
Duration: 5 days (40 hours) per module, included theory and practice + 3-4 weeks (40 hour) internship
Location: Classroom, On site and Registered company
Evaluation: De module is completed with a theory and practice test. If the module is completed with success the student receive the written test results. When failed the student makes a retake. During the internship the student will be pre-screened by a CHEEC instructor(pre screening), if the outcome is positive the student will be screened and qualified by an external instructor together with his/her mentor. Completing this with success the has to write an internship report.For successfully completing Level 3 the student receives the Heavy Equipment School diploma.
