The Heavy Equipment School's technician course consists of the basic & three levels. The basic: Mobile Equipment Fundamentals & Safety, covers safety topics and mobile equipment systems. Level 1: Basic Equipment Systems, covers basic electronics, hydraulics, engines, and drive train objectives. Level 2: Advanced Equipment Systems, covers engine, electrical, power train, and hydraulic systems diagnosis and troubleshooting using special tools, as well as an internship in a registered heavy equipment company. Each level includes theory and practice and is evaluated with written and practical tests. Successful completion of Level 3 requires a positive pre-screening and an internship report, resulting in the Heavy Equipment School Diploma.
